Project Info:

The Steelwood Resort project consisted of a new Clubhouse, Sporting Club, Chapel, Gate House and Lodges. Fashioned after Vicksburg’s Linden plantation, the new Club House is the most formal structure on the property and is surrounded by porches with allows all circulation to function on the perimeter of the building. The Sporting Club is also planned with all circulation taking place within the perimeter porch. The most recent public building on site is the new Chapel. The traditional carpenter Gothic structure allows about 30 congregants to gather in a secluded portion of the property. The board and batten siding is broken by antique arched windows, salvaged from one of the oldest churches in Florida which had recently been restored, along with the roof mounted cross.
